More Classic Chevrolets
This
1941 Chevy Special Deluxe Coupe belongs to Mike Welch and originally came
from the Twin Falls, Idaho area. It had 79,000 original miles on it and
had been in storage for awhile when it was acquired in 1995 by Mike Leeds
near Twin Falls who did most of the restoration. The engine, and most major
mechanical components, were rebuilt by Mike in the late 1990's. The interior
was also refurbished at this time.
This
is Admiral Green, the authentic factory color. The car is heavily accessorized,
mostly original. Accessories of note include a deluxe 5-band shortwave
original radio, rear wheel skirts (which are in storage), sunvisor, art
deco vanity mirror, original flying lady hood ornament, washboards, original
rims with correct paint scheme, rear license plate holder, radiator overflow
tank, windshield washer reservoir, windup clock, extra front and rear bumper
trim, and rear bumper protector.

This
1941 Special Deluxe Woody Wagon with Campbell Body
belongs
to Patrick Dean.
In
1941, Chevrolet built 2045 Wagons
using
two wood body suppliers (and styles).
Campbell
built 1745 wagons and Cantrell built 300. Only 4 or 5 of the Campbell bodied
'41s and only 5 or 6 of the Cantrell bodied cars are known to exist today.
Gorgeous
Wagon, Patrick!
